The Outback comes in four impressive trims, starting with the entry-level 2.5i. Features like 17" steel wheels, projector-beam halogen low-beam headlights, roof rails, reclining rear seats, and comfortable cloth upholstery make it stand out from the crowd. If you upgrade to the 2.5i Premium, you'll get even better features like 17" alloy wheels, fog lights, windshield wiper de-icer, heated front seats, and more; the 2.5i Limited has features that include 18" aluminum-alloy wheels, front underguard, and leather upholstery. The 3.6R Limited keeps most of the features of the 2.5i Limited, but it adds an even more powerful engine and HID low-beam headlights
The Subaru Outback is filled with impressive technological features, including standard Starlink and an optional 12-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system with navigation. Subaru also takes your safety seriously, which is why the Outback received the highest-possible rating of Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS when equipped with EyeSight. What is EyeSight? It's an innovative driver assist technology that combines adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure and sway warning, and lane keep assist.
The Subaru Outback is an excellent performer. It comes standard with a 2.5-liter DOHC aluminum-alloy 16-valve horizontally opposed 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine with Dual Active Valve Control System. This engine, which is coupled with Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission, generates an impressive 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque while still getting up to 33 miles per gallon on the highway. If you want more power, you can upgrade to the 3.6-liter DOHC aluminum-alloy 24-valve horizontally opposed 6-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine with Dual Active Valve Control, which generates 256 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. No matter which Outback you choose, you'll get features like symmetrical all-wheel drive and X-MODE traction assist system with Hill Descent Control.
